| May 18, 2003 Cleveland Plain Dealer Jesse Tinsley, Steven Litt and Mark Naymik Republicans, usually afraid of populist U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, have put up only token opposition. Now emboldened by Kucinich's anti-war stance, fringe presidential candidacy and abortion flip-flopping, they're planning to try harder this time. Jim Trakas, co-chairman of the county GOP, led a caucus in Rocky River. The group hopes to draft a serious candidate - perhaps Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough or Ohio Rep.
